The Columbia palace

Columbia Palace, a Monegasque must

13 July 2023 - 1 min

It's no secret. Monaco is famous for its buildings. For aesthetic reasons, but also for lack of choice and lack of space. The Columbia Palace is one of the most prestigious examples. This pair of buildings, 105 metres high and located on the Avenue Princesse Grâce, has dominated the Principality since 1985. Comprising two towers, 30 and 33 floors high, the Columbia Palace offers a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean, and is on the seafront next to the Larvotto beaches.

Close to both the beach and the city center, the Columbia Palace offers many advantages for city residents. Most of Monaco's amenities are within walking distance.

An old-fashioned charm

Designed by the Pastor Group and architect Joseph Iori, the Columbia stands out thanks to its vintage architecture. Terrasses forming the perimeter of the building, with staggered motifs on the façades, are dressed in orange mosaic... a pure eighties style. The Columbia forms an ensemble with its neighbor the Houston Palace, which is smaller but built at the same time.

A large capacity

The Columbia Palace includes 344 apartments, with 9 per floor on average. A very important number for Monaco. The repartition of the appartments by floor follows the same logic

- 5 in the 33-storey tower: 2P of 80m² + 2 x 3P of 115m² + 3P of 130m² + 4P of 175m²
- 4 in the 30-storey tower: 2P of 95m² + 3P of 115m² + 3P of 150m² + 4P of 155m².

A design that provides an interesting mix. The Columbia Palace has the unique feature of being available exclusively for rental, managed by the Pastor Group. Given the tension in the real estate market and rental offers, this makes it easier for some locals to find a place to live, while at the same time enjoying a great location where you can wake up with your eyes turned blue by the reflection of the sea on the horizon.

A dream for many of us.
