In the heart of Monaco’s Carré d’or, the “Little Africa” and its luxurious vegetation does not go unnoticed. This residential building of 10 floors was built in place of the Banca Commerciale Italiana which was demolished after a century in 2013. After some expert deliberation, the construction of the building was given to brazilian architect Isay Weinfeld. Finished in 2016, “Little Africa” is an architectural jewel combining modern shapes and vegetalised entanglement. This project acts as a display for the construction of new developments in Monaco. It was able to synthesize the space constraints to the harmony of a neighborhood.
