The Florestan

The Florestan, a piece of monegasque history

17 January 2024 - 1 min

The Florestan. A name with a historical resonance in Monaco. Florestan was Prince of the Principality between 1841 and 1856. Monaco was attached to Sardegna, but Florestan, during his reign, orchestrated the link between France and Monaco. back then, the Principality was far from the splendor it has nowadays, and its prosperity was only due to agriculture and fishing.

Beyond the rich local history, the monarch now has lended its name to a magnificent building of the Larvotto neighborhood. The Florestan, built 1987, but renovated many times, is easily identifiable thanks to its rose loggias overlooking the Mediterranean. With its out of the ordinary architecture, it holds a special place in the heart of the lovers of the Principality.

A jewel whose performance is worthy of its beauty

The Florestan possesses 13 floors, most of them have breathtaking views. Its entrance hall does not go unnoticed, between monumentalism and refinement. The residence has its own 24/7 concierge service. In the Larvotto neighborhood, the building acts as a tourist attraction as its atypical character, halfway between Roman splendor and Baroque rigor, leaves no one indifferent.

When it comes to convenience, residents of Le Florestan are truly privileged. Just steps away from the beaches of Larvotto and the upscale restaurants along Princess Grace Avenue, they also enjoy proximity to the boutiques of Boulevard des Moulins and the Monaco Country Club. The prestigious Carré d’Or is easily accessible thanks to the Principality’s main thoroughfare, which connects all areas of the city.

For those looking for properties for sale in Monaco or apartments for rent in Monaco, Le Florestan offers a rare opportunity: a peaceful and family-friendly environment just moments from Monaco’s vibrant heart.

A true princely choice — a fitting tribute to its noble name.
